The First Hearing Test

If you’re here, then congrats – the first step is already well underway! Once you schedule your first comprehensive hearing assessment with us, you’ll come to our office on Dougall Avenue and be greeted warmly by a member of our staff who’ll check you in for your appointment.

Comprehensive hearing assessments work to understand the range of hearing you’re working with and help us learn what you need to hear better. If you finish your hearing assessment and there’s some level of hearing loss detected in your results, we’ll get started on looking at your next steps and what would work best for you and what you need.

We’ll take into account your lifestyle and any medical history you shared with us and recommend a treatment plan that works best for your unique needs and circumstances. If your results indicate that hearing aids could significantly help you, we’ll walk you through which models and manufacturers would work best.

Hearing Aid Fitting and Real-Time Adjustments

Your advanced prescription hearing aids will be professionally fitted to your ears by using a multi-step process that involves taking impressions of your ears and making sure the programming best fits your auditory profile.

From there, we’ll make sure to incorporate any of your feedback to help tweak your devices and make sure they’re performing at top capacity for you and your ears.

After that first appointment, we’ll invite you back for maintenance appointments as you need them: professional ear cleanings, hearing aid repairs and inspections as well as training to help you maximize the use of your hearing aids and to make sure they work as best as they can for as long as they can.

We’ll also encourage you to return for annual hearing assessments so we can keep an eye on your hearing and make adjustments as you need them.

Hearing care doesn’t end with your hearing aid fitting. We partner with you to make sure that your hearing stays strong throughout your life so you can continue to hear the life you love for as long as possible.

Jason graduated from the Hearing Instrument Specialist Program at Conestoga College, with distinction, in 2010. Since graduating, Jason has been practicing as hearing health care professional in Windsor. As a regulated health care provider, he is registered with The Association Of Hearing Instrument Practitioners Of Ontario (A.H.I.P.) As owner, Jason puts a lot of pressure on himself to make sure patients have a positive and stress-free experience. Outside of work, Jason is married and is the proud father to 3 daughters. He likes to spend his spare time coaching hockey, watching his girls play hockey, and is an avid fan of the NFL and NHL (especially Buffalo Bills and Edmonton Oilers)!
